
Penguins Drop Decision to Idaho State

Las Vegas, Nevada - The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a tough 6-1 decision to Idaho State on Tuesday afternoon at the at the Darling Tennis Center.
The Penguins (8-6) won all three doubles matches, but suffered three singles match setbacks in three sets to fall to the Bengals (8-3).
In doubles play, Sebastian Hagn and Dawoud Kabli won 9-7 over Austin Miller and Charles Norman at No. 1. At No. 2, Zeeshan Ismail and Rodrigo Campos beat Krzysztof Stempien 8-4 and at No. 3, Silviu Mistreanu and Felipe Rosa defeated Jamey Swiggert and Christian Marian 8-2.
In singles play, the matches were close at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles. Hagn dropped a 6-, 5-7, 6-3 decision to Marian at No. 1. At No. 2, Rosa lost 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 to Norman at No. 2 while at No. 3, Ismail suffered a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 setback to Stempien.
The Penguins return to Horizon League play on Saturday at the Boardman Tennis Center against Cleveland State. First serve is set for 5 p.m.
