Men's Golf Finishes Strong at IU Hoosier Invitational

Bloomington, Ind. -- The Youngstown State men's golf team carded the fifth-lowest final round total at the adidas Indiana Hoosier Invitational on Sunday to finish 12th out of the 15 teams. YSU had a three-round score of 900 in the event held at the Indiana University Golf Course.
Youngstown State had a 294 in the final round on Sunday following up rounds of 304 and 302. Indiana won the event while Cleveland State placed second. The Guins finished ahead of HL members Wright State and Detroit.
Leading the way was Anthony Conn who finished tied for 29th with a 222 (71-73-78). Finishing 41st was Mark Olbrych with a 224 (75-75-74), placing 57th was Joe Santisi carding a 228 (78-76-74), senior Spenser Sulzener was 61st with a 229 (80-78-71) and freshman Shayne Wilson was 72nd with a 235 (82-78-75).
YSU returns to action on April 15 when they head to Detroit to compete in the Detroit Titans Invitational. It is the final meet prior to the Horizon League Championships.
