Sulzener Places 17th to Lead Men's Golf at Butler Spring Invitational

Avon, Ind. -- Youngstown State senior Spenser Sulzener finished tied for 17th as the Youngstown State men's golf team completed action at the Butler Spring Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Pestwick Country Club.
As a team, the Penguins finished 12th at the 13-team event with a two-round score of 630 (322-308). Purdue ran away with the team title winning by 20 strokes over the second-place finisher, IUPUI. YSU's second-round total of 308 was the sixth-lowest of the second round.
Sulzener carded rounds of 74 and 76 to finish with a two-round total of 150. Other finishers for the Penguins included: Michael Lower who was 44th with a 158 (81-77), Joe Santisi who finished 57th with a 161 (83-79), Mark Olbrych also finished with a 161 (85-76) and Anthony Conn carded a 164 (85-79) to finish 65th.
The Penguins return to action April 3 when they compete at the Villanova Wildcat Invitational.
