Women's Golf Concludes Fall Slate at Zippy Invitational

Fairlawn, Ohio -- The Youngstown State women's golf team had a solid final round on Tuesday at the Akron Zippy Invitational held at Rosemont Country Club. For the Penguins, it was their final event of the fall.
YSU improved by 31 shots following a round one total of 352. On Tuesday, the Penguins carded a 321 to finish with a two-round total of 673. Akron won the event with a 597 while Eastern Kentucky was second with a 621.
Leading the way for Youngstown State was Allison Mitzel who finished 13th with a 161 (82-79). Other finishers for the Penguins included Aislynn Merling who was 27th with a 168 (87-81), Sarah Heimlich who placed 28th with a 169 (88-81), Sana Khan who was 40th with a 182 (95-87), Angela Molaskey who was 41st with a 185 (105-80) and Jamie Berndt finished 43rd with a 198 (102-96).
