Rogner Finishes Fourth at Ball State Cardinal Classic

Yorktown, Ind. -- Youngstown State senior women's golfer Katie Rogner finished fourth at the 36-hole Ball State Cardinal Classic which concluded on Tuesday at the Players Club in Yorktown. The Guins placed 8th out of 14 teams.
Rogner finished with a two-round total of 146 after carding rounds of 72 and 74. She finished four strokes behind Ball State's Rachael Pruett who had a two-round score of 142. Western Michigan's Britney Hamilton was second (143) while Susannah Grunden of Bowling Green was third (145).
In the team results, YSU tied Northern Illinois for eighth place with a two-round score of 620 (310-310). Western Michigan won the team title with a 596 finishing five shots ahead of Southern Illinois.
YSU's Samantha Formeck made a second-round charge with a 72. Formeck had a 77 on Monday and finished with a 149 to tie for ninth place.
Other finishers for the Penguins included Sarah Heimlich who was 46th with a 160 (83-77), Angela Molaskey who was 63rd with a 165 (78-87) and Jessica Parham with a 179 (91-88). Sarah Scheidemantel was 78th with a 181.
