Casey Hill Gets Set to Represent YSU at Zone C Diving Championships

Youngstown State freshman diver Casey Hill (Bethlehem, Pa.) will compete at the Zone C Diving Championships which start on Friday at Purdue's Boilermaker Aquatics Center in West Lafayette, Ind. Hill is the first YSU diver to compete at the Zone meet since Kalyn Leveto in 2005.
The Zone meet is a qualifier for the 2010 NCAA Swimming and Diving
Championships which are also being held at Purdue on March 18-20.
Zone C, which features schools from Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana,
Illinois and Michigan, is set to send nine women and nine men to
the NCAA Championships.
Hill has had a solid freshman campaign for the Penguins. Recently
at the Horizon League Championships, she finished fourth in the
one-meter and three-meter diving events. In the finals of the
three-meter she scored 252.85 points while in the one-meter she
scored a 263.65.
Her best scores of the year came during the YSU Invitational
during the final meet of the regular season. Hill posted a
career-best 284.45 in the one-meter and a 293.25 in the three
meters.
At the Zone C meet, the women's one-meter event is set for Friday
while the three-meter competition is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.
each day. The springboard events shall have a preliminary
competition of six dives, including at least one dive from each
group without limit on degree of difficulty. After six rounds there
will be a cut to the top 18 divers. The top 18 divers will complete
six dives, including at least one diver from each group without
limit of degree of difficulty. The diving order of the top 18
finalists will not change from the preliminary diving order.
