Penguins Finish Second at Radford Invitational

Radford, Va. -- The Youngstown State swimming and diving team placed second at the Radford Highlander Invitational which concluded on Saturday afternoon. The Penguins scored 716.5 points to finish behind only Georgia Southern in the eight-school event.
Sophomore Casey Hill won both the one and three-meter diving events. Hill had a score of 262.50 in the three-meter diving event while she scored 247.85 in the one-meter. Freshman Tricia Vallinger was third in both with a 228.55 in the one-meter and a 223.10 in the three-meter.
In the 200-yard breaststroke, sophomore Sam Roberts placed second with a time of 2:25.99.
Senior Caitlin Cook was fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:12.22 while freshman Laura Paz was fifth with a time fo 2:13.45.
Junior Nishani Cicilson finished sixth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.96 seconds while Kirstin Walker was eighth with a time of 54.75 seconds.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Guins placed fifth with a time of 3:38.99.
