Men's Golf Places 10th at Cleveland State Invitational

The Youngstown State men's golf team competed at the Telich Sun Life Financial/CSU Invitational along with 14 other teams. The Penguins finished 10th overall with a 36-hole total of 611 (305-306), while Malone took the crown with a 581 (297-284).
The Invitational at Canterburry Golf Club was shortened to 36 holes due to heavy rainfall during Tuesday's final round. Both of those rounds were played on Monday.
Michael Lower led the surge for YSU firing a 73 in his opening round followed up by a 76 in his second round. Lower tallied a 149 which was good for a share of 19th place.
Anthony Conn was tied for 22nd shooting a 150 (76-74), Spencer Sulzner carded a 153 (75-78), Mark Olbrych finished with a total of 159 (81-78) and Bob Eddy shot a 166 (83-83) for the Penguins.
The Penguins will be back on the links Oct. 11-12 when they compete at the Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational.
