Formeck, Rogner Pace Penguins to Title at Holiday Inn Colonial Classic

Hopewell, Pa. -- The Youngstown State women's golf team finished first by 27 strokes at the Holiday Inn Colonial Classic hosted by Robert Morris. Samantha Formeck took medalist honors with a 154 while Katie Rogner was second with a 163.
Formeck carded two 77's en route to winning her first individual title of the year. Her two rounds were the lowest for the event. Rogner moved up from third to second following the first round with an 82 on Tuesday after carding an 81 on Monday.
Angela Molaskey, who was in second following the first round with an 80, shot a 90 during the second round to place sixth with a 170. Teammate Sarah Heimlich placed seventh with rounds of 84 and 87 to finish with a 171.
Also for the Penguins, Sarah Scheidemantel was 24th and Jessica Parham finished 25th.
YSU concludes its fall action next week at the Dayton Fall Invitational in Kettering, Ohio.
