Men's Golf Continues Fall Campaign at UC Bearcat Invitational

Cincinnati, Ohio -- The Youngstown State men's golf team continued play this fall at the UC Bearcat Invitational at the Traditions Golf Club. The Penguins tied for 16th at the 18-team event while Michael Lower was the top finisher placing 41st.
YSU finished with a three-round total of 922 following rounds of 306, 311 and 305. It was the first time out of four events this fall that the Guins were able to complete all three rounds of a tournament. Oakland took the team title beating Northern Illinois by two strokes.
Lower was the Penguins' top finisher carding a 226 (75-79-72). Following Lower was Spenser Sulzener who was 44th with a 227 (76-76-75), Anthony Conn who placed 67th with a 233 (79-76-78), freshman Shayne Wilson who was 82nd with a 239 (76-83-80) and Mark Olbrych who placed 84th with a 241 (79-80-82).
YSU returns to action next week at the Dayton Invitational.
