Having played for the Penguins from 1952 to 1956, he played in an era when low scores were more common than high ones so his 2,218 career points is a record that has a bit of a glow on it. He was the first player in Youngstown State University basketball history to have scored 2,000 career points, and is still listed in the top-10 in 12 offensive categories. He still holds the record for most free throws made in a career (653). A native of Western Pennsylvania, he still resides in the Sharon, PA area and is the director of the Buhl Club.
