Playing for head coach Bill Carson from 1967 to 1969, he helped lead the Penguins to a 51-13-1 dual meet record, one of the best three year won lost records in the history of the links sport at YSU.

He graduated in 1970 with a BS in Education degree, but the impact that he had on his team made everyone around him a better golfer.

In 1968 and 1969, he was a first team NCAA College Division All American, and while his days as a Penguin were full of medalist honors in the many tourneys that they competed in.

His days after college on the links were just as rewarding as he was a member of the 1971-72 All US Navy team, the winner of the 1973 Mill Creek Open (where he still holds the record round of 29 on the fourth nine) as well as a quarter finalist in 1974 at the US Amateur.

He is currently employed as the owner of the Dover News Agency, a newspaper distributorship. Tim and his wife, Vicki, live in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and they have a son Christopher.
