Youngstown State University

Nicknamed "Moose" by his teammates, he is regarded by many as one of the greatest linemen to ever play at Youngstown State. Playing for head coach Dwight "Dike" Beede in 1942, 1946, and 1947, his three year career was interrupted by World War II, returning to the team when the war was over and the football program was reinstituted in 1946. Was also a captain of the squad during his senior season.
