Youngstown State University

Playing for the Penguin linesmen from 1946 to 1949, Prokop was a two-sport performer while at Youngstown State University, participating in basketball for head coach Dom Rosselli in 1946-57 as well. It was on the golf team that Prokop gained notoriety, playing on the first four intercollegiate squads under the tutelage of Dr. Joseph Smith. A native Youngstowner, he still resides in the Youngstown area.
