A four-year letter-winner while at Youngstown State, he is the only three-time All-American in swimming for the Penguins. He still holds the record for the Penguins and the Beeghly Center pool record for 1-Meter Diving (6-dives/281.60) and 3-Meter Diving (6-dives/295.86), setting both records as a senior during the 1971-72 season, the very first year that the Beeghly Center pool was used in intercollegiate competition.
