When you look at the all time record book, perhaps the most dominating pitcher of all time was Jill Harmon for during her three year stay on the mound, all the Lady Penguins did was win three OAISW (Ohio Association of Intercollegiate Sports for Women) state softball crowns and in the process, compiled a 38-11 overall ledger. The Lady Penguins were state slo-pitch champions in both 1978 and 1979, posting a 24-5 overall ledger in the process. She played an integral part in the reason the Lady Penguins were one of the most feared college slo-pitch teams in the state. When the OAISW went to fast pitch play the following year, her pitching statistics would make any twirler envious. The Lady Penguins won the very first fast pitch crown making the transition from slo-pitch to the fast-pitch ranks a relatively easy one. In her final season with the Lady Penguins, the team was 14-6. She posted a sparkling 0.92 earned run average (allowing just two earned runs in 79 2/3 innings of work) which established the mark for the lowest e.r.a posted y a Lady Penguin twirler in a single season. It is also the best in a career despite just playing one season in the fast pitch ranks. She had the luxury of playing with the best slo-pitch and fast pitch team, posting a 12-2 overall mark (a sparkling .857 winning percentage) was the best in the slo-pitch ranks and still remains the best mark ever posted by any Lady Penguin softball team, while the team's 14-6 mark in the first season of fast pitch play in 1980 (a .700 winning percentage) still remains as the best overall fast pitch mark. She is currently production manager for Adcraft, an advertising and public relations firm that also specializes in metal lithography.
