He never played a sport while at Youngstown State University, in fact, he was a student manager before graduating and heading off to medical school. But, the name of Dr. Michael Vuksta is recognized by everyone in every sport at Youngstown State as the team physician of the Penguin athletic family. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, he has given generously of his time and efforts to improve not only the overall concept of the medical staff in the athletics department at YSU, but was most instrumental in developing the Sports Medicine Clinic that is currently one of the best on the collegiate level in the state of Ohio.
