Dave Deibel's contributions to Youngstown State University has helped to keep the Penguins athletic program one of the most prominent in the country.
Deibel has been a long time member of the Penguin Club and provider for the Youngstown State athletic programs.
A graduate of YSU in engineering, he is the president of Boardman Steel in Boardman, Ohio. Through his work at Boardman Steel he has always been able to provide for the Penguins football program.
He has assisted with the construction of the camera decks, scoreboards and was a key figure in the DeBartolo Stadium Club located high above the city of Youngstown. He has also worked on various projects throughout the community and for the university.
In 1987 and 1988 he served as the president of the Penguin Club and has been an active member in the organization since the early 1980's. For his efforts, he has been named Penguin of the Year.
He has been a dedicated member of the football team travel party working on the sidelines, and behind the scenes to take care of many duties.
Beside his work at YSU, he is an active member in the community and is a member of the YMCA Board.
Deibel and his wife Judy were married in July and reside in North Lima.
