2016 Outdoor (Freshman): Finished second in the 110m hurdles at the Horizon League Championships with a time of 14.82 the NCAA East Preliminary Round was 38th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.42 seconds...set the record in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.92 seconds on April 1 at the Florida Relays...the record of 14.00 seconds had stood for 23 years...had a top performance of 10.85 seconds in the 100m dash at the Yellow Jacket Invitational...posted a season-best time of 21.43 seconds in the 200m dash at the Northeast Ohio June, advanced to the finals in the 110m hurdles at the USATF Junior Olympic Trails.

2016 Indoor (Freshman): Earned second-team All-America honors by finishing ninth at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 7.67 seconds...just missed advancing to the finals by .006 seconds...named the Alfreeda Goff Horizon League Indoor Athlete of the the Horizon League Championships took first in the 60m dash and the 60m the 60m dash posted a Horizon League record-tying time of 6.81 seconds...clocked a winning time of 7.84 second in the 60m hurdles...set a WATTS and Horizon League record time of 7.75 seconds...finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.69 seconds...set the school-record in the 60m hurdles on multiple performance was a time of 7.69 seconds at the Zips Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: One of the most dominant track athletes in Ohio a senior, won Division III state titles in the 100-meter dash (10.55 seconds), 110-meter hurdles (13.91 seconds) and 300-meter hurdles (39.06 seconds)...helped lead Warren JFK to its first track and field state championship in school history...won the 110-meter hurdles at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in June...Division III record holder in the 100m dash (10.55 seconds) and the 110m hurdles (13.50 seconds)...ranks second in the class in the 300 a three-time All American and a seven-time state champion...during the 2015 campaign, led all high school runners in the U.S. in the 60m hurdles (indoors) and has the fastest time in the 110m hurdles (outdoors)...won the 2015 indoor state championship in the 60m a junior, won the Division III state title in the 110m hurdles (13.93 seconds), placed second in the 300m hurdles (38.23 seconds), was third in the 100m dash (11.03 seconds), ran the opening leg on the third-place 4x200m relay team and fifth-place 4x400m relay a sophomore, won the 110m hurdles (14.35 seconds) and the 300m hurdles (36.87 seconds) and ran anchor on the second-place 4x200m relay team at the Division III state outdoor meet...time of 7.59 seconds at New Balance Nationals is the second-fastest 60m hurdles in U.S. High School indoor Carl is a member of the YSU program...selected YSU over Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame and Michigan.
