The Penguins led as late as 19-18 on a Sarah Varcolla kill, and the final tie was at 22-22 on an attack error by Wilks. Tippie's last kill of the night got the Penguins to within 24-23, but Wallenberger finished the match with her 15th kill.

Youngstown State will host Green Bay and UIC next weekend at Beeghly Center. The Penguins will host Parents Night on Friday at 6 p.m. versus the Phoenix, and Senior Day festivities will be held prior to the match against the Flames at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
