Indianapolis, Ind. -- The Youngstown State women's tennis team lost to Butler in the opening round of the Horizon League Championships on Friday 4-1. Because of inclement weather the match was moved indoors and no consolation matches will be held.

Indianapolis, Ind. -- Youngstown State tennis players Tariq Ismail (Harare, Zimbabwe) and Margarita Sadovnikova (Ufa, Russia) were named to the All-Horizon League teams for the 2009-10 campaign, the league announced on Friday evening.

The Youngstown State women's tennis team is the fifth-seed for the Horizon League Championships which get underway on Friday morning in Indianapolis at North Central High School. YSU is the No. 5 seed and will play fourth-seeded Butler at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Detroit, Mich. -- The Youngstown State women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 contest to Detroit on Sunday at the Titan Tennis Complex in Detroit. YSU finished fifth in the Horizon League standings and advances to the conference tournament which starts on Friday.
Guins Drop Home Finale 4-3 to Duquesne

Boardman -- The Youngstown State women's tennis team split six singles matches with Duquesne, but the Dukes were able to eke out two doubles wins as the Penguins lost 4-3 in the home finale at the Boardman Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.
