Women's Soccer Adds Tyesha Kizer to 2012 Recruiting Class

Youngstown -- Youngstown State women's soccer Head Coach Will Lemke has announced the signing of Tyesha Kizer to a National Letter of Intent to join the Penguins for the 2012 season.

Kizer, a forward from Fredericksburg, Va., becomes the 11th recruit in the Penguins' 2012 recruiting class.

"Tyesha is a tremendous attacker who stood out being very dynamic with her speed and scoring skills," Lemke said. "She is ultra competitive, able to play multiple positions and has an impeccable work rate which will help set the tone for competitiveness on the field. She will be a major addition to our attacking quality this year."

Kizer, a second-team all-state performer in 2011, was a four-year letterwinner at Chancellor High School and has scored 74 goals with 43 assists in her career.

She also set a school record with 36 goals as a sophomore. A two-time all-district selection, Kizer helped her prep squad to two district championships and a regional runner-up finish.
