Ludwig Scores Fifth Goal in 4-1 Loss at Toledo

Toledo, Ohio -- Freshman Allison Ludwig scored her fifth goal of the season but the Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Toledo on Sunday afternoon.

The Penguins fall to 1-3 overall while the Rockets improve to 3-1 overall.

The Rockets quickly jumped out to a 2-0 on goals by Kristen Lynn just 3:25 into the match and Rachel MacLeod at the 8:02 mark.

Ludwig cut the deficit in half, 2-1, at the 10:21 mark but Lynn scored her second goal of the game at the 19:47 mark to put the Rockets ahead, 3-1.

With just 8:47 left in the game, MacLeod added another goal for the game's final score, 4-1.

YSU freshman goalkeeper Ali Viola netted four saves in the second half.

The Penguins entertain Howard, Friday, Sept. 3, at 4 p.m. in the 2010 home opener.
