Five Penguins Receive WGCA All-American Scholar Recognition

Coral Springs, Fla. - Five Youngstown State women's golf student-athletes were named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars for their impressive work in the classroom during the 2016-17 campaign the organization announced on Wednesday.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

The Penguins who were named WGCA All-American Scholars are senior Mia Barchetti, sophomore Megan Creager, senior Haleigh Guerrero, freshman Reva Morris and junior Courtney Shutt.

Overall, a total of 952 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor.
