The Youngstown State women's bowling team finished its inaugural season with a 20th-place finish at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic at the Smyrna Bowling Center.

The Penguins entered the day in 18th place against a field that featured 25 of the top 29 teams in the country. YSU dropped each of its three bracket matches on Sunday to fall back two places in the final standings. Still, Youngstown State finished ahead of No. 14 Tulane, No. 20 Franklin Pierce, No. 25 Valparaiso and Jackson State, which received votes in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association poll.

The Penguins lost 4-0 to Prairie View A&M to start Sunday's best-of-seven Baker games bracket, and St. Francis Brooklyn rallied from a 3-0 deficit to beat YSU in the second match. Youngstown State finished the day with a 4-1 loss to Central Missouri.

Rachel Darrow was named to the all-tournament team for her performance during Saturday's traditional matches. Darrow averaged 212.80 over her five games for a total of 1,064 pins on Saturday.
