Jason Pacanowski is in his fifth season as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Youngstown State men’s basketball program.
Pacanowski’s responsibilities include team travel, film exchange, coordination of camps and a variety of administrative duties.
During the summer of 2012 the program hosted more than 20 teams in its one-day team camp under Head Coach Jerry Slocum. The camp used gyms in the Beeghly Center and Stambaugh Stadium on YSU’s campus and at surrounding area high schools.
The Penguins’ Full Court Individual Camp and Half Court Camp had more than 200 participants.
As an undergraduate, Pacanowski served as a team manager for four years at Southern Illinois under coaches Bruce Weber, Matt Painter and Chris Lowery. During his tenure at SIU, the Salukis reached the NCAA Sweet 16 during the 2006-07 season.
Pacanowski earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Southern Illinois in 2006 and a master's degree in sport management from SIU in 2008.
Jason and his wife, Katie, have a son, Rylan, and live in Salem.
