Sheryl Schuff joined the YSU Athletics staff as Manager of Athletic Ticket Operations in June 2015 with an extensive background both inside and outside of athletics.
Schuff spent 12 seasons working in sales and tickets with the Cleveland Indians during the club's highly successful run in the 1990s, and she has additional experience in sports with the Cleveland Barons and California State University, Long Beach. She spent the seven years prior to coming to Youngstown State working with Live Nation.
Schuff began her time with the Indians as an account executive in 1998, and she spent parts of three seasons with the Tribe in that capacity. She returned to the club in 1992 as a Vault Assistant, a position she held until 1996. She was elevated to Vault Manager in 1996, and she served as the Ticket Services Coordinator from 1999-2001. The Indians sold out 455 consecutive home games during Schuff's tenure.
Schuff moved to hockey and was the Manager of Ticket Sales and Operations for the Barons from 2001-05, and she served as the Director of Ticket Marketing and Operations at Long Beach State in 2006-07. In addition to overseeing the direction and day-to-day operations of the office, Schuff was also the ticket director for a 2007 NCAA Baseball Regional, the 2007 NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship, two rounds of the 2006 NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament and the 2006 Big West Women's Soccer Tournament.
Schuff worked as an Event Ticket Captain for Live Nation from 2008-15, and she was also the Box Office Supervisor at the Hard Rock Rocksino in 2014-15 before becoming a Penguin. Her other experience includes serving as the Box Office Manager at Ralston Arena near Omaha, Nebraska, in 2012 and being the Box Office Supervisor at the House of Blues in Cleveland in 2011.
Schuff holds two degrees from Ohio University, a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Master of Sports Administration.
