Men’s Golf: Penguins Finish
Fifth at Leo Keenan Invitational

The YSU men's golf team wrapped up
the St. Bonaventure Leo Keenan
Invitational on Monday after
finishing in fifth place, 18 strokes
behind Dayton who claimed the top
spot at Bartlett Country Club.
Entering day two of the event, the Penguins were tied for
10th with the St. Bonaventure Brown
squad, but a strong second-round
moved the team up five spots. As a
team the Guins carded a two-round
total of 611 (314-297),
Junior Tim Morrow
led the way as he finished 10th at
the event with a 149 (75-74).
Junior Ryan Alpeter finished in
22nd, after firing a 152 (78-74).
Three Penguins tied for 38th as
redshirt freshman Joey Santisi
(79-78), junior Shawn Deppe (82-75),
and freshman Michael Lower (83-74)
all carded a 157.
The Penguins will conclude the fall season when they take
part in the IPFW Fall Classic
starting on Monday at Deer Track
Golf Course in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
