Valiant Effort Lands Men Third at Horizon League Championships
   Lebanon, Ohio -- The Youngstown State men’s golf team was down one stroke in the third and final round of the Horizon League Championships, but could not overtake Cleveland State and Detroit for the lead at Shaker Run Golf Club and finished third. As a team the Guins finished third after shooting a three round total of 896 (303-296-297). Release

     Lebanon, Ohio After completing its lowest second round at the Horizon League Championships, the Youngstown State men’s golf team is in third, only six strokes off the pace of leader Cleveland State at Shaker Run Golf Club.

Rogner Rallies To Earn Medalist Honors; Women Place Second
      Carmel, Ind. – Youngstown State freshman women's golfer Katie Rogner (Warren, Ohio) shot an ever-par 72 to overtake Butler's Lauren Showers and earn medalist honors at the Horizon League Championships which concluded on Sunday at Plum Creek Golf Club.
    Rogner finished with a three-round score of 230. Release
Men Poised to Make a Run in the Horizon League Championships
      The YSU men’s golf team will be looking to improve their sixth place finish from last year when they compete in the Horizon League Championships on Monday and Tuesday at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio. Representing the Penguins at the event will be senior Ross Beal, junior Ryan Stocke, sophomore Tim Morrow and  freshmen Spenser Sulzener and Michael Turner. Release
Katie Rogner Named Player and Newcomer of the Year; Schwartz Top Coach
     Carmel, Ind. – Freshman Katie Rogner will forever be in the Youngstown State women's golf history books as she becomes the first player in school history to be selected Player of the Year as well as the Newcomer of the Year in the Horizon League, the conference announced on Sunday. Schwartz was named the Horizon League Women's Golf Coach of the Year. Release
