Buying Tickets | Ticket Office

The Youngstown State Athletic Ticket Office, located at the North end of the stadium between Gates A and B, is open from 9 a.m. until 90 minutes prior to kickoff on game days. Ticket sales move to ticket booths near Gates B, D and E.

Will Call

The Youngstown State Will Call is located near Gate B along Fifth Avenue. Visitor Will Call is located behind the East stands inside Gate E.

Stambaugh Stadium Entrance Gates

Gates open 90 minutes prior to kick-off of each game. Fans with East side tickets may enter the stadium through Gate E or Gate A. Fans with tickets in sections 4-7 are encouraged to use Gate B and fans with tickets in sections 1-4 to use Gate C. Gates B, C, D and E are handicap accessible.

  • GATE A - North end zone - Enter for Sections 14-18
  • GATE B - Ramp Along Fifth Avenue for Sections 4-7
  • GATE C - Ramp Along Fifth Avenue for Sections 1-4
  • GATE D - Public Elevator located at corner of Armed Forces Boulevard & Fifth Avenue
  • GATE E - East Stands

Stadium Policies

  • No one without a ticket or credential will be allowed into the stadium.
  • All persons, including fans, are subject to search.
  • Any fan with an item or bag which does not pass security standards will be asked to take the item back to his or her vehicle or dispose of the item.
  • There is NO READMISSION into Stambaugh Stadium.
  • Fans are asked to refrain from throwing objects onto the field or in the stands.
  • Sitting on stadium walls is not permitted.
  • Disruptive behavior or abuse directed towards fans will not be tolerated and will result in immediate ejection from the stadium.
  • Stambaugh Stadium is a non-smoking facility. Designated smoking areas are located at the end of the north and south ramps on the main concourse level. East side smoking areas are directly behind the east side stands.
  • Artificial noisemakers are prohibited from being used per NCAA and Missouri Valley Football Conference rules.

Security Rules and Regulations

  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted in Stambaugh Stadium.
  • Bottles, cans and coolers are not permitted into public areas of the stadium.
  • No backpacks, fanny packs, coolers, bags, containers of any size, televisions or cameras will be allowed in the stadium.
  • No bags or totes containing clothing items of any kind will be allowed in the stadium.
  • Other prohibited items include flasks, umbrellas and weapons of any kind (including off-duty police weapons, pipes of any size or chains).
  • Pagers, cell phones and small purses are permissible (All purses are subject to search).
  • Appropriate apparel for weather conditions may be worn or carried through the gates.
  • Fans with special health and medical related problems should report to the main ticket office at the north end of Stambaugh Stadium (All medical-related bags are subject to search).
  • Only items required for health and medical problems will be permitted through the gates.
  • No one without a ticket or credential will be allowed into the stadium.

  • Members of the Media must display credentials at ALL times.
  • No one under the age of 16 is allowed on the sideline without prior consent of YSU Athletics or the YSU Football Staff.

Gameday Parking | Parking Map

For fans arriving early, approximately 1.5-3 hours prior to kick-off, suggested parking is the M-2 Deck located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. Approximately 1.5 hours prior to kick-off, available parking will be in the M-1 Deck on Wick Avenue between University Plaza and Lincoln Avenue.

YSU parking services and WRTA will offer shuttle service to all fans beginning 90 minutes prior to kick-off. The shuttle will depart every 15 minutes from the M-1 Parking Deck and M-26 tailgate lot and take fans to Gate C of Stambaugh Stadium. Return service will begin half-way through the fourth quarter and run up to one hour after the conclusion of the game.

Game day parking is $5 per vehicle. The following lots are recommended for fans:

  • M-1 Deck (Wick Avenue)
  • M-2 Deck (Lincoln Avenue)
  • M-26 Surface Lot (Lincoln Avenue)

Handicap Parking

Handicap parking is available behind the east side stands. Access to the handicap parking area is from the Eastbound Service Road behind the North end zone. Also, handicap parking is available in the M-1 Parking Deck on Wick Avenue. Shuttle buses that run from the M-1 deck to Gate C are equipped with disability lifts.

Gameday Tailgating

Tailgating before and after YSU home football games is a long-standing tradition at YSU.  Tailgate permits are available in only two lots:

M-24 Lot (Fifth Avenue)

Tailgate permits in this lot are available on a season basis ONLY through the YSU Athletic Ticket Office. Ticket membership in the Gridiron Club of the Penguin Club guarantees fans a spot in either the M-24 or M-7 tailgate lots.

M-7 Lot (Fifth Avenue)

Tailgate permits in this lot are available on a season basis ($90) or on an individual game basis ($15). All individual game tailgate passes are sold on an as available basis. Fans may purchase them in early August in the Athletic Ticket Office or throughout the season as available. Please check YSUsports.com for activities, live bands and other events that will take place in the M-7 lot.

The best way to enjoy the pregame atmosphere is by purchasing a Hospitality Tent. Tents are available for groups of any size, and parties are held in the M-7 Penguin Party Lot.
