Cheerleaders

The Youngstown State University Cheerleading squad represents the Athletic Department at games, department events and throughout the community at special functions. The Cheerleaders provide spirit to an already great atmosphere on gamedays at YSU's Stambaugh Stadium and throughout the men's and women's basketball season at the Beeghly Center.

The Cheerleaders are coached by Michelle Markota and Jenna Schneider, both previous Penguin Cheerleaders and YSU graduates. Markota has been an advisor since the fall of 2002 while Schneider joined the coaching ranks in the summer of 2010.
