2008: Earned Second-Team All-Horizon League honors after leading
the Penguins in hits (71), doubles (15), runs scored (40), steals (12)
and RBIs (33)... all of those numbers were career-bests, as was his .309
batting average... batted .314 in league game and .381 with runners in
scoring position... was the only player to start every game - 52 came at
third base, two were in centerfield and two were at first base... had
team-bests with 19 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games... batted .330
at home... his 71 hits rank as the ninth-most for a single season in
school history... one of only 10 players to have 70 hits in a
season...had 230 at bats, which rank as the second-most for a season in
school history... ranked tied for sixth in the Horizon League in triples
(3), tied for eighth in sacrifice bunts (8), ninth in steals and ninth
in hits... had an 11-game hitting streak from April 30 to May 15... hit
.404 with nine runs scored over the span... also had a nine-game hitting
streak from April 15 to April 26... hit safely in 22 of his final 24
games... scored three runs twice - at Bowling Green (April 1) and
against Ohio (April 16)... drove in a career-high four runs against
Xavier (March 13)... had three hits on six occasions, including in
back-to-back games on May 10 and May 12... stole two bases against
Bowling Green (April 1).
2007:
Hit .273 and played in 53 games in his first year as a full-time player
.... ranked second on the team in walks (15) and steals (5), third in
runs scored (31), fourth in on-base percentage (.352) and fifth in
average and hits (42) ... posted 12 multi-hit games ... hit .309 against
lefties ... had three hits on four occasions, all of which came within a
nine-day span in March (3/16-24) ... was named to the College Baseball
Foundation National Honor Roll after hitting .526 and posting 10 hits
from March 13 to March 17 ... he entered the week with only seven hits
in his career ... went 8-for-11 with three RBIs, three runs scored and
two doubles in three games at Morehead State ... scored a season high
three runs and had three hits at Butler (3/24) ... went 3-for-4 with a
season-high three RBIs at Morehead State (3/16).
2006:
Appeared in 18 games off the bench primarily as a pinch runner and
scored five runs ... hit .333 in six at bats ... singled in his only at
bat against West Liberty (3/23) ... went 1-for-1 with a double at
UW-Milwaukee (5/20).
2005:
Appeared in nine contests and made his first career start against
UW-Milwaukee (5/22) ... had two hits in eight at bats and scored a
run ... made his collegiate debut as a pinch runner against Dayton
(2/19) ... went 1-for-2 against Pittsburgh (5/18) ... scored a run against
UW-Milwaukee on May 21 and went 1-for-4 with a double in a starting role
a day later.
